Prom NO!

Mars's picture

It's Grad season and everywhere teens and grads are rushing around to find that perfect dress, suit or tux. But girls before you decide on the dress for you, make sure that Mom approves and the principal. You don't want to end up like this graduate...in handcuffs.

A high school senior from Houston, Texas named Marche Taylor learned that one the hard way after she wasn't allowed into her prom . . . because her dress was too revealing.

Marche says she and her date showed up at the prom but they didn't even make it into the ballroom before school officials told them they couldn't go inside . . . because Marche's dress violated the school's dress code.

Now you're probably thinking "how bad could the dress have been?", well I'm telling you. It was BAD!!! Keep reading...

The skirt was stupid short, and Marche's entire midsection including some of her chest was exposed. Marche says she offered to cover up by wrapping the back of her dress around her exposed stomach, but school officials told her that wasn't enough because she clearly wasn't wearing underwear, (she denies this).

The young grad then got upset and started making a scene before demanding her money back. It's unclear exactly what went down from here, but the police were called and Marche was escorted out in handcuffs.

Marche wasn't arrested, but she was sent home.

Yuk.

Have a look at the news coverage vid and the pics below and let me know if you'd let your daughter wear this get up to her grad. For the record I have NEVER worn anything like this and my kid would be grounded for life. NO GRAD FOR YOU!

What do you think? Watch and discuss. ;)

You call that a dress?!?

I would ask the question, Hey, does Elasticoplast bandaids now come in gold tones?

The Grad Dress

At least her bits and pieces were covered (and how the heck would a teacher know if she was wearing underwear or not??? Looking up the girls' dresses?? Isn't that illegal?). Maybe the dress wasn't very appropriate, but she was well within her rights to wear it. Especially if she is 18.

Grad

ok i dont know what she was thinking of when she bought those strips of material but i think shes crazy, and what mom would let her daughter go out in something so skimpy like that in the first place. Im only 23 so i graduated a couple years ago, but when i become a mom there is no way my daughter would ever step foot out of a house looking like "Trash" .

ghettopromdress.com

... now those are redonkulous prom dresses.

dress??

What would make anyone think that this is an appropriate thing to wear in high school? What mom would let there child out of the house looking like that?

Try a little common sense,

Try a little common sense, If you can't wear it to school, which I'm guessing by looking at it you can't. Then likely the prom is not going to be a great place to wear it either. I don't think the Tom Cruise aviators help the dress either.

Grad dress

If you think that dress is bad take a look at the ones on thie site. www.jibjab.com/view/156445

dress

maybe she lost lots of weight and wanted to show her new and improved body off LOL

,

Or maybe she GAINED a lot of weight and her dress just didn't fit properly anymore. :)

Dress

BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH!!! i duno what that is but it is NOT a dress. what was she thinking. it looks like she's headed to a strip club, not grad. i hope she didnt pay much for it either!

Grad

I agree 100%. That is a pathetic excuse for a dress! I hope she didn't pay too much for it - she could have accomplished the same thing with a box of bandaids.

grad dress

all i have to say is that its her prom and she can ware whatever she wanted to. If they had a problem with a dress like that then they should have brought it up when her grad class has their pre grad meetings... i totally would have made a scene like that if that was me...
